Hello, I am Rihro, the eldest of three siblings, and this is the story of how a simple dream turned into reality. I first pursued a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Southwestern University in Cebu, but before I could finish, I took a short break. In 2012, I traveled to Japan, planning only a temporary stay, but I soon found myself enchanted by the country’s beauty and culture. What was meant to be just a visit turned into something more, and I ended up staying, living with my parents in Shizuoka.
Since Shimizu-Cho Shizuoka Prefecture is far from Tokyo, my visits to the bustling city were only for leisure. One particular trip with friends remains unforgettable. We had just visited the Tokyo Sky Tree, and on our way back to our hotel, I sat by the train window, watching the city lights blur into motion. In that quiet moment, I made a wish—I told myself, “It would be nice if I could live here someday.”
In 2016, I returned to the Philippines with the goal of finishing my studies. However, instead of resuming my Hotel and Restaurant Management degree, I shifted to Information and Technology. After four years of dedication, I graduated in 2020, but due to the pandemic, my return to Japan was delayed. Eventually, I made it back, and something extraordinary happened. I found myself riding the same train route I had taken years ago after visiting the Tokyo Sky Tree. But this time, it was different. I was no longer just a visitor on a staycation—I was commuting to work, living in the very city I had once only dreamed of.
Dreams do come true, and this is just the beginning of mine. Through this website, I will share my professional journey, personal projects, future ventures, and efforts to give back to the community. I hope my story inspires you to chase your dreams because, with perseverance, they can become reality.
